An 8 week old beautiful little female puppy named Kippy who was rescued from the street. She is the sweetest little thing, quiet and adorable. She has soft fur, and a loving nature. This female puppy Viki was found wandering the streets and rescued by our volunteers. She needs a good home. She is a real sweetie, doesn't bite, comes when you call her, gentle, with beautiful soulful eyes. She loves to cuddle and play, she's a treasure.

מאז חודש אוגוסט כאשר התחילה ההתארגנות למגן לחיות ועוד היום, הצלנו 43 כלבים וחתולים (לא כולל אלה שניצלנו משריפה במדורות ל"ג בעומר). ניצלנו יותר מ-15 בחודשיים האחרונים. וזה בלי להיות עמותה (עדיין בתהליך ביורוקרטי) ובלי כסף. כל הכבוד לכל המתנדבים המסורים! חיה

Since Magen LeHayot began to get organized and until today, we have saved 43 cats and dogs (not counting the kittens rescued from Lag B'Omer fire). More than 15 animals rescued in the last two months. Lag B'Omer

I went out alone to check on the Lag B'Omer fires at about 11 pm. It was pretty quiet. I walked near Harel school. I met Ira and Dima who were also out patrolling. Dima said Hi, and Ira insisted on joining me so I wouldn't be on my own.

Suddenly I remembered that I had seen a large fire from afar and I felt that I had to get to that area. We went there, there were a few fires, most of them -kids with parents. There was one fire with a group of kids on their own, girls and boys, about kita Vav (6th grade) age, They weren't going crazy, looked "ok". BUT there was a carton next to them, on the side.

I got closer to take a look. Inside were 3 kittens about 2 weeks old. I took the carton without asking. I took the kittens home to my place. We continued to walk round the fires. I still haven't calmed down. I knew this existed but I didn't really believe I would encounter it.

The children looked like completely "normal" kids. Cute kids. Why would they think it is fun to take baby kittens from their mothers and throw them on the fire ?????? I just cannot get over this. I don't know what made me go over there, what pulled me there. I just had a feeling.

The kids didn't argue when I took the carton. The kittens weren't suffering when I took them, it could have been much worse. We got there in time. And still, I can't calm down, I'm still very upset. To think that our kids could be capable of doing such a thing? Khaya

יצאתי לבד לסיור מדורות בסביבות השעה 11. היה די שקט. בכיוון שהלכתי והסתובבתי לכיוון בית-ספר הראל. פגשתי את אירה ודימה שהיו בסוף סיבוב. דימה אמר לילה טוב ואירה התעקשה שהיא באה איתי שלא אהיה לבד. פתאום נזכרתי שראיתי מרחוק מדורה גדולה והרגשתי שחייבים להגיע לאזור ההוא.

הלכנו לשם. היו מספר מדורות. רובם עם הורים . היתה מדורה אחת גדולה עם קבוצת ילדים בערך בגיל כיתה ו. הם היו לבד. בנים ובנות. לא השתוללו. נראו "בסדר". אבל היתה קופסת קרטון לידם. בצד. התקרבתי לראות- בפנים 3 גורי חתולים בני כשבועיים.

לקחנו את הקרטון בלי לשאול. הגורים אצלי. הסתובבנו עוד.אני עוד לא נרגעתי. ידעתי שהתופעה קיימת . אבל לא ממש האמנתי שאתקל בזה.הילדים נראו נורמטיבים לגמרי. חמודים כאלה. למה הם חושבים שזה כייף לקחת גורים קטנים מאמא שלהם ולזרוק אותם למדורה ?????????

אני כולי צמרמורת ולא נרגעת. לא יודעת מה משך אותי לשם. למה היתה לי הרגשה. הגורים לא סבלו. עוד לא קלטו שהם יתומים. לא נפגעו. הילדים לא התווכחו כשלקחתי אותם. היה יכול להיות הרבה יותר גרוע. ובכל זאת אני כולי נסערת. חיה

 This handsome dog was found wandering alone, hungry and collarless in one of the neighborhoods. One of our volunteers took him to one of our foster homes where he spent the night. Next morning we had him checked for a chip by one of our friendly vets. Luckily a chip was found. We traced the owner and returned him to his home, happy and none the worse for wear.

Please don't allow your dog to wander, without a collar.

Make sure your dog has an id chip.

This little doggie was found frightened, wandering alone at Achva College. During a visit to the vet we discovered he had a chip. His chip was traced on the database, but had no ID or owner info listed . After phoning the company who made the chip and contacting the vet who was listed as having bought the chip, and looking all over the net, we still could not trace the owner. Luckily this little doggie found a lovely new home. He is king of the house now.

Chag Sameach everyone.

At the height of the Pesach cleaning frenzy, someone threw out more than just their "hametz", they also threw out 4 beautiful puppies, 3 weeks old. They were left in a cardboard box next to Ira's house. Someone must have known that there was a crazy lady there who would take care of them. 

Today they visited the vet, they were checked and dewormed. They are almost ready to eat solid food. The largest white one is male, the rest are females. Today they are four weeks old. They will be small to medium sized dogs.

We are already looking for good homes for them.

We badly need donations of puppy food.
If anyone can foster them, that would really help us.
